HMK® R766 Anti-Slip Treatment – Marble, Limestone & Travertine

HMK® R766 is a professional, ready-to-use anti-slip treatment designed to increase slip resistance on marble, limestone, travertine, terrazzo, and other calcareous stone surfaces. By creating microscopic pores in the surface, HMK® R766 significantly improves traction on wet floors, helping to reduce slips and falls in both residential and commercial settings.

This treatment is particularly effective for bathrooms, entryways, staircases, and other high-risk slip zones where natural stone surfaces can become dangerous when wet.

⚠️ Important: Application will alter the gloss and color of the treated surface. Always test in an inconspicuous area before full application. Improper use (such as allowing foam to develop or uneven coverage) may require mechanical refinishing.

Application Instructions

1. Preparation: Protect surrounding areas and ensure good ventilation. Turn off underfloor heating and allow the surface to cool.

2. Clean: Thoroughly clean with HMK® R155 Intensive Cleaner (acid-free) or strip with HMK® R154 Stripper/Stain Remover. Allow the surface to dry to the touch.

3. Apply: Spread HMK® R766 undiluted, evenly, and generously with a sponge or wash mop.

   • Do not allow foam to develop.

   • Do not let the product dry before completion (5–10 minutes).

4. Rinse: Wash thoroughly with diluted R155 (1:20) and rinse well with clear water.

5. Repeat: For increased slip resistance, repeat the treatment as needed.

Tip: When using a wet vacuum, add HMK® Z702 Defoamer to control foam.

Coverage

• 1 Liter covers approx. 300–400 sq ft (20–30 m²) depending on surface porosity.

Safety Information

• Highly toxic and corrosive. Contains ammonium hydrogen difluoride.

• Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear protective gloves, clothing, and eyewear.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use in direct sunlight.

• Recommended working temperatures: 54°F – 78°F (12°C – 25°C).
