HMK® S234 is a professional-grade, solvent-based stone impregnator that provides long-lasting protection against oil, grease, dirt, and water penetration on all natural and artificial stone surfaces.

Safe for interior and exterior use, this silicone-based impregnator is food hygiene compliant, making it an excellent choice for kitchen countertops, dining areas, and food prep surfaces. It protects without altering the natural appearance of the stone—treated surfaces remain vapor-permeable with little to no visual enhancement.

Directions for Use

1. Preparation: Thoroughly clean surfaces with HMK® R155 Intensive Cleaner, flood rinse, and allow to dry at least 24 hours (residual moisture ≤ 2–4%). If underfloor heating exists, turn it off and let surface cool.

2. Application: Apply HMK® S234 generously and evenly with a natural bristle brush or HMK® Z950/Z951 brushes.

   • Use two wet-on-wet applications (more may be needed on porous surfaces).

   • Remove all excess before drying.

   • For vertical surfaces, S234 may be applied with an airless sprayer.

3. Finishing: Smears can be removed with a soft cloth dampened with S234 or mineral spirits.

4. Curing:

   • Avoid foot traffic for 2–4 hours.

   • Full oil and water repellency develops in 48 hours.

   • Protect surface from rain/humidity for 12 hours.
